Happy New Year!!!

Ava's new years resolution is no more pullups except at night. We had 4 accidents yesterday and 3 today. We are getting better. We took a trip to Michael's to get stickers for the potty cahrt which starts tomorrow. We also got on safety scissors. They cut at school and Ava is a little obsessed. I will admit that I am petrified of her cutting her hair especially after we went to a birthday party where a little girl was playing with pretend scissors - pretending to cut her Mother's hair. I think the horror on my face may have been obvious. Since this party we have repeatedly told Ava that hair is only cut by specially trained people - I'll keep my fingers crossed that this works.

Ava loves Santa

Ava got this adorable shirt in the mail on Friday. Thanks Aunt Sheila! Ava was very excited to wear it to school today. She was also excited to ride the bus. Daddy was in the boonies in Virginia for a meeting so we took the bus and metro to school/work. It makes the fact that Ava's school is 3 building down from my office fantastic!

Our trip to meet Raya

4 weeks later we finally had a chance to meet Raya Berman. She is tiny, adorable, and so alert! Ava held her gently and gave her kisses. This was the smallest baby Ava had ever seen. She is going to be a great big sister someday!
