A few nights ago we decided to let Ava play in the bath for the first time. After Christmas Alexandra and I had found this great duck at pottery barn kids that quacks and sprays water - one word- AWESOME! Ava also has a traditional duck that squeaks. Daddy, Ava, and I were playing in the bath and Rusty came into the bathroom because he heard the squeaking. The next thing we knew he had jumped in the tub. Ava thought this was hysterical as did we. Rusty chases the water spraying duck around the tub continually shaking his head because he is being sprayed in the face. So I put on a bathing suit so we could share her enjoyment.

Ava's baby cousin Kayden James Rutherford was born January 20th. He was 9 lbs 15.2 oz. I went to visit on Sunday when they came home from the hospital. He is precious and doing incredibly well. I can't believe how big his feet are!!! Ava had some congestion so she did get to meet him yet, but I am sure she will love him as much as I do.

Ava spent the week alone with Daddy while Mommy was on a business trip in CA. Daddy did so awesome! Ava as usual was a very good baby only getting up once at night to eat.
Unfortunately Mommy hasn't quite mastered traveling with breastmilk and ended up having to toss most of what I pumped while I was gone. Lesson learned: Next time have the concierge ship it back of dry ice!
