We have breakthrough!

At 10 months, 2 weeks, and 6 days a tooth is finally breaking through Ava's gums! It is the front upper left :)

Such a great Sunday!

Today Grandma and Grandpa Stoddard drove Daddy back home just in time for lunch. Grandma Heckman and Uncle Shannon also came to visit and arrived right around the same time. We had burgers on the grill, potato salad (with potatoes fresh out of Grandpa Stoddard's garden), and Caesar salad. after lunch Ava went for nap and Grandma and Grandpa Stoddard headed home. After Ava's nap Mommy, Grandma, Uncle Shannon, and Ava headed to the pool. The water was the perfect temperature and the sun had started to go down a little so there was some shade over the pool! It was Ava's first time in her new float, she was a little unsure at first but in no time she was having a blast. She also loves playing with the fountain! It was such a great day. Oh and Daddy won playing poker...WOOHOO!

To Grandma and Grandpa Stoddard's

Friday night after work Mommy, Daddy, and Ava drove to Delaware to visit Grandma and Grandpa Stoddard. Even though we left early we still got stuck in ridiculous traffic! We arrived at 5:30 and went to Don Pablo's for dinner. Dan, Daddy's best man, joined us for dinner and he finally got meet Ava. Even though it was past her bedtime she was great. She loved queso, guacamole, and of course cheese! We then went back to Grandma and Grandpa's and Ava headed to quickly to bed. Daddy then headed to Delaware Park with Dan. Poker tables opened last weekend and he could wait to check them out. Today Ava played with Grandma and Grandpa until it was time for her afternoon nap and then Mommy and Ava headed home. Thankfully there was no traffic this time and it was smooth ride.

Rusty is hilarious

Today Ava and Daddy played ball with Rusty when we got home. For some reason Ava thought Rusty chasing the ball was the funniest thing she had ever seen.

Toting around Mickey

Ava has a small Mickey and large Mickey that Grandma Stoddard bought her when they came to visit for Mommy's birthday. Ava gets very excited whenever she sees them. She has also taken to carrying little Mickey around with her while walking with her push toy.

Happy Father's Day!

Mommy and Ava took Daddy to lunch at Canyon Creek. We love it there! We had out favorite appetizer, stuffed poblano pepper. I had tried to replicate this earlier in the week, it was good but not as good as the original. We walked over to the lake and fed the ducks after lunch. We came home and Ava napped. We finished the Daddy with Daddy's favorite meal, surf and turf! A great First Father's Day :) Ava loves her Daddy!

Trip to Grandma's

Today Nadia went on a trip to Niagra Falls so Mommy took the day off and Mommy and Ava went to Hummelstown to see Grandma, Alexandra, and Shannon. While we were there Ava took 3 steps! Still not walking by herself all the time but 3 is one more than 2! We are on our way

Our first sad drop off

As I said in the last post Ava is usually happy to be at Nadia's and is ready to play. However, recently she has become more aware that this also means that Mommy leaves. Today she wouldn't leave my side when I put her down to play, crawling back when I placed her with the toys. Nadia picked her up so Mommy could leave for work and she burst into tears. I knew it would happen sooner or later but it still made Mommy sad :( Luckily by the time I was outside I could see through the window that she was playing and happy. She was just as happy when we picked her up making fun noises the whole way home :)

Happy morning

Ava wakes up in such a good mood. She gives us a big hug when we get her out of her crib in the morning. She snacks on yogurt bits while we get ready and pack lunches. When we drop her off at Nadia's she is excited to see Benjamin and Yusef

Too cute

Ava is getting better every day at walking. She can walk holding on by just one hand. She is also very amused by seeing pictures and videos of herself. She thought the self portraits were too fun!

Wow Happiness

Sometimes there are just no words for how much this face can brighten our day. We love her sooooo much :)

Ava's day with Mommy (DE for babyshower)

Today Ava and Mommy drove to Newark during the morning nap. We had lunch with Uncle Chris and Angela and then went to Anabel's baby shower. She got lots of great stuff to prepare for the arrival of Baby Boy Heal :) We then drove back home and after being stuck in traffic Ava was very happy to play before it was time for bath and bed.

In the cabinet

Ava has become very attached to Mommy wanting to be as close as possible all the time. She spends time with Mommy in the kitchen and is allowed to play with the tupperware. Today she crawled up inside the cabinet and was trying to climb onto the shelf.

Wild Hair

Ava's had pulled her bow out of her hair so Mommy had put a head band on so she could see to eat. Unfortunately Ava's head is round and it slips right off creating some very wild hair. She was very excited that Mommy and Daddy were laughing.

Grandma and Grandpa Stoddard come to visit

Grandma and Grandpa Stoddard arrived today around lunch time to spend some time with Ava. They say her walk across the floor with her push toys and he showed off her skills at going up the stairs. Ava played with Grandpa Stoddard's mustache, she thinks mustaches are very strange. After Ava's afternoon nap we headed to Montgomery Mall to the Disney store. Ava is in love with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! We then went to Bertucci's for Mommy's birthday dinner. Grandma and Grandpa were amazed at how good Ava was sitting at the table eating like a big girl. New PJs

Although Ava can still wear her 6 month summer rompers, her toes were starting to curl in her 9 month PJs. Mommy picked up a few pairs of hanna andersson PJ's at Costco last night. They are size 9-18 months so they should fit for a while. They are her first jammies that don't cover her feet :( She is growing up so fast.

Yogurt bites

While we pack up in the morning Ava sits in the bumbo and eats yogurt bites. I can't get over how cute she looks with her hair in a ponytail. She has started to realize it is there and will shake her head so it wiggles, too cute :)

The popper

Ava loves to play with this toy. She has learned to push the button to turn it on herself as she stnds over it as the balls come flying up. Most of the time the ball end up off the track as then it is just air that blows her hair. She thinks it is great :)
