Playing with Kayden's toys

We drove up to PA again Friday night to get the kids and Grandma a few necessities for the week. Hopefully Grandma will be coming home next week. She is making great progress in physical therapy and they are finally getting her pain under control. Tonight Alexandra, Shannon, Ava, and I went over to Danielle's for dinner. Ava and Kayden had a great time running around together. Ava was laying in the ball pit before Kayden came and jumped on her. It is going to be a fun few years at our family get togthers with these 2 amazing kids :)

Please!

Ava's vocabulary has exploded in the last couple of weeks. She is obsessed with picture books and flash card. She also finally started saying "PLEASE" today and it makes it almost impossible to say no.

We miss you Pappy!

Two years ago today the world lost a bright light that could makes almost anyone smile and laugh even if it required a dirty joke. The most difficult part is the fact that he never got to meet his amazing grandchildren but he lives on in their happy smiles.

Rehab

Grandma Heckman is out of the hospital! She was transferred to rehab today. Ava and Mommy went to PA to help her get settled. As a treat Ava got to stay up late and go to Friendly's for ice cream with Alexandra and Shannon after Shannon got home from his game.

A whole weekend with Daddy

Ava spent the whole weekend with Daddy because Mommy went to help Grandma while she was recovering from surgery. Ava and Daddy drove up to PA on Sunday to give Grandma some Ava therapy and celebrate Kayden's 1st Birthday.

PA Farm Show

Today Ava and Mommy drove up to PA in the snow to go with Alexandra, Shannon, Danielle, and Kayden to the PA farm show. We had a great time. We saw lots of animals including sheep, pigs and new piglets, ducklings, cattle, and cows.

Ava tested lots of different apples and decided her favorite was the Nittany.

The little ones had a blast going down the slide including Alexandra and Kayden flying out the bottom of the slide and landing on the mat.

The clowns made Ava cry.

We accidentally entered the horse arena while it was closed to the public but one of the owners let Kayden ride his daughters barrel racing horse.

The little ones also loved the tractors. They went from tractor to tractor climbing up and turning the wheel. They sat in tires 5x the size of them.

We also had lots of great Farm Show food including milkshakes, pork sandwiches, and fried vegetables. Yummy!

Ava is currently in LOVE with strawberries. She has had them after dinner the last 2 days. She eats a whole bowl and then wants more all while saying YUMMY!

Couch potatoes!

I went upstairs to put away the laundry and left Earl and Ava downstairs playing. When I came back they were sitting on the couch watching Elmo and eating veggie puffs. The bad influence has started :)
