Laundry

Danielle drove us to Gettysburg to meet Earl and go shoe shopping for the babies. The Stride rite outlet is by far the best place to buy shoes. Ava got a beautiful pair of white sandals for when it warms up and a great pair of pink sneakers. Since we were gone all weekend I quickly started wash when we got home. Ava thinks it is fun to climb in the dryer when I take the clothes out. Luckily she can now climb out :)

Dress shopping

Friday night we headed up to PA to go prom dress shopping with Alexandra, Danielle, and Kayden. We even managed to find the most beautiful dress and the perfect pair of shoes than make Alexandra look like an amazon goddess.
Ava and Kayden had an oreo cookie with lunch. Ava asked me to open her's and she licked the cream center. Kayden scarfed his. I love them so much. GREAT DAY!

Bubbles

We got a new bubble machine while we are Toysrus just as much fun as the one we won last year at the family reunion.

Swimming

New car

Yesterday we went for a walk and ran into a little boy riding around in a little tikes car. He was very generous and allowed Ava to have a turn. She was in heaven so today we went to toy'srus to get one. Well it was both fun and a disaster at the same time. It took me an hour to get her out of the store because she didn't want to get out of the car. Daddy spent the evening putting it together after Ava was in bed.

Iranian New Year = Mommy's day out

Ava's daycare is closed for the Iranian new year so Ava and Mommy headed downtown to the museum of natural history to see the butterflies. Although it was supposed to be a dreary day we had a great time and managed to dodge the rain all day. We rode the metro and Ava was a dream. Best day ever!

Claire visits DC

Today we met Claire and Cathy and Randy at the zoo. We stayed with them when we visited Houston in May. Claire is getting so big. We had a great time and even made the trek to see the pandas. We were to busy having fun to take too many pictures.

Glasses

Ava has discovered the fun of sunglasses. If only I could get her to leave her's on her face so they could block the sun.

Swimming

Ava loves swimming class and was eager to get in the water this week. She is slowly getting more comfortable.

Books

I love that Ava will sit and read book after book.

Color

Ava loves to color. Although she loves to put the crayons back in the box even more.

DUCK

We picked up a set of puzzle flash cards today at costco. Uncle Shannon played with Ava while we put away the groceries. Ava's favorite car was the DUCK when she saw that it broke in half she got very sad. It was both funny and sad at the same time.

Swim Class

Ava missed her first swim class last week because she was sick but we were very excited for today. Ava hasn't been in the pool since August so we weren't sure how it was going to go. Ava was excited to see the water and the large rubber ducky. When we got in she immediately latched on to me with a death grip which loosed over the next 10 minutes until she was jumping off the side and letting me glide her through the water. By the end she was standing in the water by herself playing with the toys. I guess we will see how next week goes. The class is for toddlers 18 months - 3 years. May of the kids seem like they are far closer to 3 yrs or older. Daddy had a blast snapping pictures from the gallery.
