Happy Birthday Grandma!

Today is Grandma's birthday but since it is the middle of the week we called her to say Happy Birthday and we told her we would come visit her over the weekend. We love you!

Last Day :(

Lots of hugs and kisses to an amazing year at a fabulous daycare. You have helped Ava become a bilingual loving and spirited child. We will miss all of you and don't worry we promise to come back to visit.

Sick...yeah right :)

Ava was up a few times over night and was definitely a little grumpy but by the time Mommy left for work she was drawing on her chalkboard and asking Daddy to play with her.

The New Daycare

Ava went with me to work this morning so we could spend an hour at the new daycare and Ava could meet her new teacher. It went better than I expected. I could believe how much bigger the kids that will be moving up to the 3 year old classroom were compared to Ava. It was so cute to see how all the kids doted on her. They played in the sand box and had a fire drill. We then went to Ava's regular daycare for lunch and naptime. The ladies were so excited to have her back...again sadness :( Unfortunately Ava woke up from her nap with a low grade fever so no daycare tomorrow.

Today we had an earthquake. I had to evacuate my building and wasn't allowed back in since our building is over 6 stories tall. I couldn't get a hold of the daycare because the call kept getting dropped so when I finally got out of the parking lot that was my first stop. The kids were all sitting in their seats waiting patiently for a cupcake for Heidi's birthday. Heidi's mom got Georgetown cupcakes and they were DELICIOUS - especially the icing. After cupcakes and singing the kids danced and had "CLASS". Friday is our last day with Feri and I am starting to feel sad about leaving.

Ice cream!

Ava has recently become obsessed with ice cream. We have been bartering good eat and table manners for ice cream cones. Ava will do just about anything for an ice cream cone...Mama wins!

Grandma and PopPop come for dinner

Since summer is winding down and Grandma will have to go back to work they came for dinner tonight. They came a little early and picked Ava up from daycare so they could play before we went to dinner. We went to Copper Canyon Grill. Ava was more excited to see the ducks than eat. After dinner we had even more excitement...riding the rio train!

Bitty Baby

Yesterday was party #3 with Daddy's family. Ava got an American girl bitty baby from Grandma and PopPop and hasn't put it down yet.

Happy 2nd Birthday Ava

It is so hard to believe Ava is 2 years old today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Ava was very excited this morning about her BIRTHDAY balloons. And even more excited for her party at daycare later in the day. She loved sharing her ELMO cupcakes with everyone but was too excited to blow out the candle. The kids ate the cupcakes and headed outside to play. When we got home Ava found her new trike....the perfect birthday gift for our new birl girl!

Happy Birthday Ava - Party #1

Today we drove to PA to celebrate Ava's 2nd birthday with Mommy's family. We had lunch and cake at Aunt Danielle's. Ava is very excited about her easel and art supplies. She loved the ELMO nose game although Aunt Alexandra was upset we didn't use a blindfold. Ava's favorite part was that everyone wore birthday hats or multiple :) Later in the day we went to a bridal shower for Jessica and we saw lots of other family. Everyone wished Ava a happy birthday as she stole the center of attention by dancing in the middle of the living room as everyone was sitting down to watch Jessie open present...hilarious. Around 7 we hit the rode to drive home, Ava fell asleep immediately. Just before Frederick we got a flat tire...boo! We have to AAA come fix it and thank goodness we did because the spare tire was almost flat. The tow truck driver added air and got us back on the road in no time. We made it home safe and sound....tomorrow a new tire!

Big Girl Bed

For the last month Ava has been crawling out of her bed in the morning. We have tried multiple ways to keep her in to no avail. Our last attempt was to tell her it was dangerous to which she said " I careful". It was time to convert the crib to a toddler bed.
